  1. Open Pinterest in a web browser
  2. Sign in with your username and password
  3. Under the create tab navigation, select create ad
  4. Choose one of your Pins to advertise
  5. Tap Next
  6. Define the target audience
  7. Set a budget
  8. Select Promote

  1. Go to your Pinterest account page
  2. Select one of your Pins
  3. Hover over the Pinterest Pin you want to advertise
  4. Select Promote

It is a clean one-step checkout process to advertise on Pinterest from your desktop. But since most users are accessing the site from the mobile app, here are steps to set up an ad.

  1. Open the Pinterest app on your phone or tablet
  2. Sign in with your username and password
  3. On the menu tap the plus “+” sign
  4. Choose a Pins to advertise or create a new one
  5. Select Promote Pin
  6. Define the target audience
  7. Tap Next
  8. Set a budget
  9. Tap Next
  10. Review your Pinterest ad
  11. Select Publish ad
